39 Clues: Will you solve the mystery!

Welcome back to school, Branson Elementary West students and parents! It’s been a while since I’ve posted on our blog, but now it’s time to get things going again. I wanted to share an exciting new book series with you that was just released today. It is called 39 Clues, and it is a new kind of reading adventure. The story is a mystery that you, as the reader, actually try to solve. Reading the books will help you solve the clues, but there is also an exciting online game and trading cards that give you additional information. There are even real prizes being given away, including a $10,000 grand prize! I can’t wait to read the first book, The Maze of Bones. It’s written by Rick Riordan, the Mark Twain Award winning author of The Lightning Thief.  You can learn more about 39 Clues by going to their website at http://www.the39clues.com/.  So, here’s a question for you. What would you do if you won the $10,000 grand prize? I can’t wait to read your comments! Remember, when you post a comment, only put your first name and your room number, and don’t put an email address, even if you have one.

Your library lady,

If I won the money I would give 1000. dollars to my church. With some of the money I would buy more books. I would save some of the money and play with some of the money. Of course I would buy Mrs. Maszat something really nice!

    Dear Mrs. Matsat,
I was wondering how many Mark Twain books we have to read to be able to qualify in the party this year because I am on my second Mark T wain book?

Gatlin, my son would probably spend a lot on Legos, too! Lance, I think it is great that you would give some of the money to your church, and I think it’s sweet that you would think of me. :) Victoria, you have to read at least four Mark Twain nominees to come to the voting party. Thanks for replying to the blog!

If I win the money I would buy a gift for all of my family. Anything that makes them happy.

I would buy a 4 wheeler, a really big RC helicopter, shoes, motorcycle jacket for Charles, a dirt bike, a bunch of fish for moms fish tank, get new rims for moms car, oh and a really big flat screen television. These were all Devin’s ideas I just helped with the typing part. CM ;p

Sydni, I think it is very kind that you would get a gift for your family. Devin, those are some really cool things you would get! Lance, I will have some copies of the books after the book fair is over next week. Nathan, I appreciate that you would donat some books to our library. :) I do have two brothers, Chris and Kevin, who are younger than me. I was the bossy older sister. :) Bailey, I think it’s great that you would save some of the money for college.

    Mrs. Matzat,
    If I won 10,000 dollars,
I would take about 10%, then split that 10% w/ my brother. Then the rest would go to my parents. That’s what I would do w/ the money.
