What do you want from the book fair?

Guess what, Branson Elementary? It’s Book Fair week! This week you will have the chance to visit the book fair with your class and purchase books of your very own to keep at your house. The money raised by the book fair helps us get new books for the library. So, I need your help! If you could pick one book from the book fair that you would like me to buy for the library, what book would you pick? I can’t wait to hear your suggestions!

P.S. Don’t forget that we have Family Book Night on Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 in the elementary gym. You will get to hear lots of great stories, play games, do craft activities, and have snacks! We hope to see you there, and don’t forget to shop the book fair!

My Favorite Book

Greetings, Branson Elementary students!

Welcome to our LMC (that’s library media center for you non-BES people) blog. I was thinking the other day about books that I really love, and I thought it would be fun for us to share what book is our favorite book. Now, that’s a very hard thing for me to do as I have so many books that I love. So, I tried to think back to when I was a 3rd grader. My favorite book in 3rd grade was The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Chandler Warner. I absolutely loved that story and read it about 50 times. My teacher read it out loud to us, and I couldn’t wait to hear more each day. I loved the thought of these kids being all on their own living in a boxcar. I also loved that Benny, one of the characters in the story, had a dog named Watch that he took care of (you know how much I love dogs). This story has a great ending, so if you haven’t read it, be sure to check it out!

Now it’s your turn! What is your favorite book? Why is it your favorite? (Parents, you can share your favorites, too!)
